I can't find my favourite section. Did you get rid of it? 

In June we changed our store layout, but we didn't get rid of any books! Although your favourite section may have moved, we assure you it's still here. To help with this transition, we have maps available at each desk, and we are of course more than happy to help you find your favourite section's new home.

Why did you change the layout?

It took 3 months of careful planning to settle on a layout that would result in a better shopping experience for our customers. With our 'new' found space that this layout provides, we are now able to turn our store into more of a community space! We look forward to hosting book clubs,  game nights, fitness classes, and other fun events in store in the months to come. Lastly, although it may take some getting used to, the new layout is a great way for you to discover sections of the store you may have never noticed before. 

I am an author with a new book. How can I get it in your store?

Congratulations on your publication! We have a consignment program available to all local authors with professionally edited books. To be considered, please bring a copy of your finished title to our Front Desk (off Hillside Ave), along with a copy of our consignment form, found here. Once we have both, our consignment team can begin to assess whether your title is a good fit for our store. *Please note this program is available to BC authors only.

I have a really old gift certificate. Can I still use it?

Absolutely! Your certificate never expires. We've actually had customers redeem certificates  issued over 18 years ago.

Can I purchase a gift certificate online? 

We are not processing certificates online at this time, but we are happy to process them over the phone, by email, and in-store.

What is your return policy?

We accept returns for most items in store in perfect condition within 7 days of purchase if accompanied by a receipt. Without a receipt, we can offer a credit or store exchange within a reasonable time frame.
*We cannot accept returns for magazines, newspapers or sale items.

How long will my special order take? Is there an extra cost?

On average, orders arrive within 5-10 business days, however they can take anywhere from 3-30+ days to arrive depending on which supplier they are ordered from. There is no extra cost to special order.

My special order is in, but I'm out of town. How long can you hold it for? 

No problem! We will always hold your order for 3 weeks. If that's not enough time, pre-pay and pick it up at your convenience, or have us mail it straight to your door.

What does out of print mean?

A book will go out of print when a publisher stops printing a publication. This will happen if there is no longer a market for it, or there are plans for a revised edition. While you may still be able to find copies at a used bookstore, we are unable to special order these titles for you as we do not bring in used books.

Where can I find your on sale books?

We have a select number of sale books throughout our store, which you will find in their usual section marked with a red sale sticker. Our store wide sale is twice a year.

Can I bring my dog with me?

Yes! We welcome all well behaved dogs in our store.

We are a single-location, family owned independent bookstore.
